Exercises

Start: Friday, 7.4.2006

The first seminar class wil be in computer room HG E 26.1

Then, the seminar classes are always on Friday, 10-12, HG D7.1

There will be no seminar classes on 14. 4. 2006 (Good Friday) and on 26. 5. 2006 (after Ascension Day).

Exercises will be based on the free open-source statistics and graphics software R, downloadable from the ETH CRAN mirror for Mac, Linux or Windows.

Here is the link to a very short introduction to R and emacs.

Emphasis will be put on applied problems. Active participation in the exercises is strongly recommended and required for non-graduate students to get credits.

Notice: Any corrected exercise sheets that have not yet been picked up so far will be kept until 14 July 2006 in LEO D 4 (Bernadetta Tarigan). If you are interested, come and get them soon. After the indicated date they will be thrown away.

Lecture attestation (Testat):
Regular students need to complete at least 60% of all the tasks, not necessarily correctly but with a satisfying effort. There are 11 Series with 19 total number of Exercises, maximum point for each number is 1. Thus, students have to obtain at least 11.4 points to get the Testat.
