[R-SIG-Mac] Bus error while updating packages

Michael,

can you, please, send me a full stack trace (i.e. run R with "R -d  
gdb" then type "c", do whatever it takes to crash R, type "bt" and  
send me the result). Unfortunately I'm not able to reproduce this  
myself, but it has occurred before to other users.
