    import("methods")

and for sure you want as well:

    exportClass("Parameter")


Thus, the complete file is:


    import("methods")
    exportClass("Parameter")
    exportPattern("^[^\\.]")

Well, above, you mean:
   setClass("Parameter", representation(name = "character"))
