Are there reasons for using anonymous cvs when anonymous rsync access
is available?  Quite frankly I don't understand why one would use
anonymous cvs instead of anonymous rsync.

(I do realize that with anonymous cvs you can read the CVS logs and
you can't do that with anonymous rsync but we make the logs available
in another form on developer.r-project.org.)
