Xemacs21 problems with ESS 5.9.1 ?? [FWD from ESS-debian]

Without diminishing Dirk's charm/persuasiveness, I still took every
precaution I could think of like not loading any init/site file, and
purge-removed xemacs after everything, checking my environment is back
to normal ... Not fun for sure  ;-)
