Hi All,
I'm a big fan and heavy user of BSgenome. I work on a 64-bit PC
running wondows 7. I want to analyse a few primate genomes using
BSgenome. The newly released orangutan genome is not currently
available in BSgenome. My questions:
1. Is it possible to request a genome to be added to BSgenomes, and is
this the correct place to make that request?
2. If i must add the genome myself as descibed in the 'How to forge a
BSgenome data package' document, will the genome I forge on unix linux
machine be usable on my PC? If not, can I forge a genome on my PC?
I apologise if these questions have been raised and answered
previously, I did spend a lot of time looking for appropriate answers
before emailing this list. Thanks in advance, and thanks for BSgenome.
Kindest regards,
Colm Nestor
