The research group for "Knowledge Management in Bioinformatics" at the
Institute for Computer Science of Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin has two
openings in the area of scientific data management. Both positions are

Both positions are part of a large, DFG-funded Transregio (TRR-54) for
studying various aspects lymphatic malignancies. The applicants will
will develop an integrated repository for storing, searching, and
analyzing the results of a wide variety of experimental techniques used
in the Transregio (Chip-CHiP, Microarrays, MicroRNA, tissue arrays
etc.). Successful applicants should bring several or all of the

Bioinformatics, or Medical Informatics
- Good knowledge in Bioinformatics or Medical Informatics
- Experiences in developing biomedical databases including intuitive,
web-based user interfaces
- Experiences in integrating biomedical databases (pathway repositories,
protein-related resources, medical databases etc.)
- Experiences in statistical analysis of biomedical datasets (micro
arrays, ChIP-Chip, tissue arrays etc.)
- Good knowledge in modeling and implementing scientific workflows
- Very good communication skills to work in a highly interdisciplinary
