[Bioc-devel] Windows devel builds: NAs in BUILD BIN

Hi,

You may have noticed occasional 'NA' values in the 'BUILD BIN' column on the the Windows (tokay2) build report. These NAs appear when the build products from the nodes (Windows and Mac) are not available to the postrun script on master (Linux). This 'unavailability' can be due to network connectivity problems or a problem with the individual node.

tokay2 is not as powerful as the Mac and Linux builders. As more packages are added to the repository tokay2 has been inching closer to the max build time. Building binaries is the last step performed in tokay2's sequence and when it doesn't complete in time we see NAs in 'BUILD BIN' for all packages that did not make the postrun cutoff.

Over the next week Herve will be making some changes to the build sequence that will reduce the number of times each package is installed. This will reduce build times across all builders and tokay2 should once again complete well before the postrun starts.

In the meantime, please ignore the NAs on the Windows report.

Thanks.
Valerie
