https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/news/06-10-2016-ncbi-https/

http:// POST requests to ncbi will be disabled on Sept 30; I'll replace 
all http:// urls with ncbi in the domain name with https:// late on 
Friday, unless there are reasons not to?
