*TWO VACANCIES FOR PH.D. STUDENTS IN STATISTICS AT KAUST, AVAILABLE NOW:*

The Extreme Statistics group lead by Prof. Raphael Huser (Ph.D., EPFL,
2013) at the King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST),
Saudi Arabia, is looking for two bright and hard-working Ph.D. students
doing research in the area of Statistics of Extremes. The focus will be put
on the development of models for spatial extremes, and efficient inference
to fit them to various types of environmental data. More details about

*PROFIL REQUIRED:*

Candidates should have a strong background in statistics, data science, or
a related field, and good programming skills (e.g., R, or Matlab, C++,
etc.). Experience in applications of Statistics of Extremes, Bayesian
Statistics, Spatial Statistics, or in manipulations of large datasets is a
plus. Interest for environmental applications is desirable.
