«*Models for Multivariate Geostatistics*»

Abstract :

/Geostatistics offers a standard approach to deal with regionalized
variables, i.e. data that can be measured everywhere in space and/or
time. A typical example is the ozone level in a city. The data might be
influenced by some exogenous variables, such as the sun light in the
case of ozone. Multivariate geostatistics is the mathematical framework
for predicting or interpolating spatial data, called co-kriging, when
co-variables are available. Although the subject is pretty old, not to
many advances had been made up to now. Also free software has been rare.
In this talk we give a general introduction to geostatistics and an
overview over multivariate models. The examples are illustrated with the
package RandomFields./
