Yes, these straddle a moderately large version change in lme4:
see the intro at http://lme4.r-forge.r-project.org/

The most recent versions of Anova.II.mer() only supports c("chisq", "F"). 
John Fox may reintroduce Wald tests, but you can always do them yourself.
