[R-sig-ME] Extract/Calculate score vector from "mer" objects

Dear All,

I'm interested in calculating the score vector (first order derivative 
of the log-likelihood) evaluated at the final parameter values (i.e., at 
convergence), for a mixed effects logistic regression model, returned by 
glmer(). Has anybody ever done something like this?
