Hello everyone.
I have a perhaps recurring query. I am analyzing the amount of fat in an organ, the problem is that this amount is reported with different methods (tomography, ultrasound, etc.) and the units are different. There are units reported as cubic centimeters, millimeters, square centimeters, milliliters, and logarithmic conversion of cm3.
The question is: would it be methodologically and mathematically correct to use the standardized mean difference or would it be necessary to use some other method of meta-analysis or stratify by type of measurement.
From already thank you very much.
