Hello experts,
I'm using the metafor package to calculate a summary effect size which
I adjust for baseline symptom severity (like in an ANCOVA).
Using the forest function, no summary estimate is printed in the plot.
I'm assuming that this is because this estimate is adjusted for baseline while the
individual studies are not.
Is it okay to add the summary estimate nonetheless and explain in the figure caption
that this is an adjusted estimate? Or what would be a good way to visualize this summary estimate?
It would be great to hear what you think!
Thank you,
Stephanie
