[R-SIG-Mac] Catalina Crashes R

[John Helly]

Aloha.
I cannot use R.app on Catalina (or often in recent prior OS versions)
due to it hanging when I try to access the filesystem.  The most recent
release is essentially useless for me and I have had to switch to RStudio.
