Hmm, the R package is signed by an identifiable developer: those links
should not be relevant and if you find otherwise you should be
suspicious that you do not have a genuine R distribution. (Some of the
snapshot packages on r.research.att.com are unsigned, but a new user
should not be using those: R-3.4.0.pkg is signed.)
