[R-SIG-Mac] R hangs up when using file.choose() or other GUI functions

hi

this sounds like the issues i had.

the below comments where made on 31st of january, and might be helpful.

i also deleted r from my mac and cleaned all .Rhistory and R library 
entries according to the R uninstall guide on the CRAN R site - but the 
below entry did finally do the job.
