Please avoid sending in HTML. It comes out barely readable (at best).
I don't see a problem with Rcmdr on Mavericks with R 3.3.0.
The error message points to a problem with the Tcl/Tk installation, probably not Rcmdr per se.
To isolate the issue, you could try
library(tcltk)
demo(tkfaq)
(or some of the other demos).

I then run "library(Rcmdr)", but received the following message: Loading required package: splinesLoading required package: RcmdrMiscLoading required package: carLoading required package: sandwichError : .onLoad failed in loadNamespace() for 'Rcmdr', details: call: structure(.External(.C_dotTclObjv, objv), class = "tclObj") error: [tcl] invalid command name "tk_messageBox".Error: package or namespace load failed for RcmdrI searched for help and some previous posts suggested running X quartz in the background and restarting R, and try again. However that failed to solve the problem. I would really appreciate your help and advice on this. Thank you very much Candice NUS Student
