[R-SIG-Mac] R-GUI-6783-3.1-mavericks-Release.dmg requires X11?

Then how do I prevent X11 from starting automatically (which it started to do after I installed R-GUI-6783-3.1-mavericks-Release.dmg, and continued to do so after I reinstalled R from CRAN)?
