Probably a good plan. I guess it surprised me no one else reported yet.

1) edit(airquality)
2) press the red window ‘close’ button
3) R console hangs, note I can still close R entirely with ‘File…’ ‘Close’, but the console won’t accept input. 

Note I hear a Mac ‘bonk’ sound when closing the window.

Good catch. 

No  on 10.10 with 3.1.2-snowleapard.pkg R.app GUI 1.65 (6834) x86_64-apple-darwin10.8.0. 
No on 10.10 with 3.0.2.pkg R.app GUI 1.62 (6558) x86_64-apple-darwin10.8.0
Yes on 10.10 with 3.1.2-mavericks.pkg R.app GUI 1.65 (6833) x86_64-apple-darwin13.4.0

Looks like it’s something with the Mavericks build. I’ll stick with 3.1.2-snowleapard.pkg for now.
