[R-SIG-Mac] Fwd: The old versions of versions, and especially packages

Dear R-users,
what is the most easiest way to download old versions of R and it's
packages. I have found some functions, but none of them have worked. How
to use the Archieve for this purpose. I would like to have detailed
instructions for Mac. I would need only some older version e.g. effects
2.2-4. I know the address at http://cran.r-project.org/bin/macosx/old/.
