1) you say the problem is caused by using the package impute but you do not explain what function causes the issue or whether R code that would normally run fine stops working once you load the library
2) in either case the first port of call is the package maintainer, not R-sig-mac

Please do provide extensive exaples to the package maintainer, with code and data explaining what you are trying to do, what is not working and what you expect to see.  Be advised that, if *you* are just not writing code correctly or making any other mistake, you could be told to Read The Fine Manual.
