[R-SIG-Mac] loading packages hangs Mac, error in loading proxy package

David, more information would be useful. Are you using the menu, or R
command line? What exactly are you doing/typing? What's your
sessionInfo()? Are you sure you have Internet connectivity, and if yes
can you read.table from an online source?
