Mito,

	How often do you use winBUGS?  That is the only major disadvantage  
that I have come across,
winBUGS doesn't work on a mac and thus the R-winBUGS interface is  
useless on a mac.
If you use the R.app, instead of command line, then it is about 1000x  
better on a mac than windows
machine (no exaggeration :) ).  The quartz and pdf interfaces are a  
lot nicer and generally render much better
on screen, hence you have greater ability at making real nice plots,  
rather than guessing.  If you ever
have any trouble with other packages not loading on a mac, simply load  
them as source (.tar.gz) and they
will work fine.
