[R-SIG-Mac] Error exec program in 64 bit R from terminal

Christophe,

Thank you!  Problem solved.  I was hesitant to install builds other than the main one, which I thought installed fully for all three architectures.  At least for my machine, it did not, but 2.10.1 did the trick.
