[R-SIG-Mac] more than one window closes

Yes, (3) closes as well, but only most of the time ?!? I did it 10
times, and it closed 8 of those.
Upon further inspection, it appears (3) will close only if I click
straightaway on the red X in the upper left corner of (2). However,
if I first make (2) active by clicking on, say, its title bar, and
only then close it via the red X, (3) will remain open.
