[R-SIG-Mac] more than one window closes

Franklin,
Can you please check on your system if below steps are repeatable:
1) Open a new editor window/file, leave it open,
2) Open an existing file
3) Open another existing file
4) Now close the window opened under 2).
Does 3) close as well?
I know there is a (serious) issue with the external editor, and I
thought I had come across
it with quartz windows, so if your observation is correct, the
threesome is complete :-)
