[R-SIG-Mac] Bug?: Closed Quartz windows not cleared from Windows menu (R.app)

I can't find any reference to this in the archives.

Since upgrading to 2.3.0, closed Quartz windows do not seem to be  
getting properly "cleared" from the Windows menu.

Example: in R.app, open a new quartz window with quartz(). Close the  
window using either Cmd-W or the upper left-hand 'X' button. A  
listing for "Quartz (2) - Active" will persist in the Windows menu.  
Iterating this procedure will leave additional "Quartz (2) - Active"  
entries.

Using Version 1.16-pre (3117) and
