[R-SIG-Mac] extra line-feeds when recalling previous command in Rgui

Hi,

I find that everytime I recall a previous command with the up-arrow, it
adds a line-feed
in the Rgui (1805) but not when run from terminal.  I'm using Mac 0S X
10.3.9 and

Here is an example in which I recalled the same command 4 times.  Each
time adds a linefeed.

Does anyone else experience this?
