[R-SIG-Mac] g77 from R-2.1.1.dmg won't install

Hi All,

I just downloaded R-2.1.1.dmg. R gui and framework installed without  
a problesm but I cannot install g77.

I already have a g77 in /usr/local/bin. What I am not sure about is  
whether this is the fortran compiler that comes with Xcode 2.1, and  
whether I need to install the g77 in the dmg considering that a g77  
is still present on my box. Incidentally, I am running OS 10.4.2.

Any advice will be apprecciated.
