It depends on the OS you plan to use. I suspect that there is no
difference in the Rggobi status for Linux, regardless of the processor
used.
What you probably meant was the status of Rggobi with respect to Mac OS
X. The status of ggobi itself is that it works if using X11 version of
GTK+. Aqua-native GTK+ doesn't quite work, yet (the problem being the
native port of GTK+, not ggobi itself).
Using X11 version I have successfully compiled and run both ggobi
(1.0.4b) and Rggobi (1.1-2) on an OS X machine (in fact it compiles
out-of-the-box given working GTK+, kudos to the ggobi team!). I didn't
actually work with that build too much, so your mileage may vary.
