[R-SIG-Mac] Fwd: Another R bug report

A short note to let the people here know that we (Satimage-software) 
are currently investigating a bug in Tiger which is probably the 
reason for the crash which was reported in this thread.

The bug expresses itself in the following form, always the same (and 
there are many cases of reports of that same crash around):
