Thank you for the report, this was (hopefully) fixed now in the nightly 
build (available at http://www.rosuda.org/R/nightly/R-GUI.dmg ).

AFAICS multi-format clipboard entry is created with TIFF and PDF 
entries - which one is used depends on the application that you paste 
into. The PDF version contains all individual objects and is editable 
with the appropriate programs.
