[R-SIG-Mac] another problem

The latest R-1.8.0 package from gifi does not run on Jaguar, because
it needs an different version of readline than the one I included. The  
new
update will have libreadline.4.3.dylib (for Panther) and  
libreadline.4.3.dylib.old
(for Jaguar). On Jaguar go to /usr/local/lib and say  "mv  
libreadline.4.3.dylib.old libreadline.4.3.dylib"
after the install.

Alternatively, compile a version of readline on your Jaguar machine, see
