It seems to be a problem of installation.
In your /Applications folder you should find
RAqua.app/Contents
containing the following folders: MacOS, Resources, bin, library etc etc
but apparently (Duncan reported this to me) the installer creates a
folder Contents inside RAqua.app/Contents. This is not good.
Moreover, the Resources dir in nested inside
RAqua.app/Contents/Contents/Resources!
you should have a look at what it should be trying the following build
(built with OSX 10.1.5) to be put in the /Applications folder

BTW, The structure of RAqua.app should be the following
inside /Applications/RAqua.app/Contents/
