What does "ls /sw/lib/libncurses*" say ? A quick solution is to make
a softlink in /sw/lib to the version of libncurses in /usr/lib. So
sudo ln -s /usr/lib/libncurses.5.dylib /sw/lib/libncurses.5.dylib
Or install ncurses from fink.
