Dear Stefano, If you write.table twice (e.g. with slight variations) to the same file, a second copy with the SAME filename is produces (in one folder) (you have to use the command-info bex to distiguish by date/time). Not very Mac OS 9 like! Peter -- Peter Sint sint@oeaw.ac.at
