[R-SIG-Mac]more on R installation

Hi:

Jan recommended to modify fink.conf. I have tried to do it with pico 
but it says that it cannot write the file. I guess that it is a 
problem related to permissions. I then search the internet on how to 
change permissions which I tried unsucessfully:


[gattuso:/sw/etc] gattuso% ls -l

chmod: fink.conf: Operation not permitted



What am I doing wrong?
