Overview:
-Back up programming of tables, listings, and graphs for a specified
compound project.
-Responsible for the validation and quality assurance of any output produced
for specified projects and contributing to al project management such that
timelines are met. 
-Back up participant on Clinical Project teams representing clinical
programming efforts for that clinical team. 
-Prefer candidate with clinical experience. 
-SAS program experience required.
 
Responsibilities:
-Contribute to the programming of tables and graphs for various projects
related to genomics/biomarkers and discovery, which include in vitro and
animal pharmacology. 
-Help develop automation tools in Microsoft Excel using internal links to
Visual Basic, SAS or R; develop SAS macros and R functions for various
analysis tasks, with guidance and core code from the statisticians. 
-SAS and S-Plus/R programming experience required. 
-Discovery/pre-clinical experience will be a plus. 
-Experience in Visual Basic and Web programming (HTML, JAVA, Perl, etc.)
will be a plus. 
-This is for an experienced SAS and S-Plus/R programmer. 
-Individuals should be very proficient in generating graphs, tables and
develop automated SAS and R Macros/functions and Excel templates using the
core statistical programs and guidance from the statisticians. 
-Individuals should ideally know or be willing to quickly self-learn how to
run SAS or R programs in the background from Excel and use Visual Basic in
Excel to automate analysis tasks and create Excel templates/tools. 
-Individuals should ideally have strong experience or be willing to quickly
self-learn in creating web-based interface/tools that runs SAS and R
programs in the background. 
-Since most of this work is for projects in discovery, biomarkers and pre
clinical groups, experience in clinical trials is not required. 
 
Experience/Education:
We need very strong candidates for these openings. 
A B.S. or M.S. degree in statistics or mathematics or related field, with
coursework/experience in computer science is preferred. 
A degree in computer science, biology and related fields will also be
considered if the candidates have coursework/training in statistics and
statistical programming with the experience/proficiency in topics listed
above.
