Dear R Geo-folk,
See below for a free and open workshop dedicated to an emerging data
science direction on the intersection between the climate and energy.
The accumulated amount of climate data is getting critically important to
support the energy transition. Development of data processing tools may
give a missed link in this data transfer process. A one‑day online workshop
gives a unique opportunity to dive into the climate-energy modeling problem
and explore the role of subseasonal and seasonal (S2S) climate forecasts in
energy system models and allied decision‑making.
The event is being organized under the S2S4E project: https://s2s4e.eu
The afternoon session is co‑hosted by the Open Energy Modelling Initiative
(openmod) to provide an energy modeling and analysis perspective.
