Designed for PhD students, academics, and professional researchers who grapple with large datasets, this workshop showcases how the data.table package can radically improve speed and efficiency over base R and dplyr. Participants will explore core syntax, keys and indexing, rapid filtering and mutating, advanced aggregation, memory-conscious handling of big data, grouped operations, and strategies for integrating data.table with other R tools, all through hands-on exercises that translate directly to real research challenges.
