Dear all,
We are excited to announce that our online course, Multivariate Data Analysis with R and vegan, is almost full! Join us if you want to enhance your skills in analysing multivariate data using one of the most widely-used R packages for community ecology, vegan.

Dates: 10-13 February 2025 (Online)
Course website: [ https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/vegan/ ]( https://www.physalia-courses.org/courses-workshops/vegan/ )

This course provides a practical introduction to multivariate methods, focusing on tools available in vegan. Topics include:
Unconstrained ordination (PCA, PCoA, NMDS)
Constrained ordination (CCA, RDA, PERMANOVA)
Statistical testing with restricted permutations
Diagnostics and visualization for ordination models
Through a mix of lectures and hands-on exercises, participants will gain the skills to analyse complex multivariate datasets and apply appropriate statistical methods.
Who Should Attend?
This course is ideal for PhD students, researchers, and professionals working with multivariate datasets in fields such as ecology, microbiology, and agriculture. Attendees should have basic R programming skills and familiarity with RStudio.
Learning Outcomes
Understand key multivariate analysis methods
Select appropriate methods for analyzing datasets
Perform restricted permutation tests with constrained ordination
Use R to analyze and visualize multivariate data
Schedule
Monday-Thursday: 14:00 to 20:00 (Berlin time)
Sessions include Q&A, lectures, discussions, and practical exercises via Slack and Zoom.

Best regards,
Carlo
