This course introduces the genomic basis of adaptation through population genomics approaches. Participants will learn to handle raw genomic data, detect candidate genomic regions involved in local adaptation, and perform hands-on bioinformatics exercises.
Key skills covered include:
- Handling genomic data
- Calculating population genetic statistics
- Visualizing genetic population structure
- Detecting adaptive divergence and local adaptation regions
- Identifying signatures of selection
- Detecting structural variants of adaptive significance
