Hey Rich, thank you for your response.

In my case, I explained the reasoning to justify the 
USA.state.boundaries package being over 5 MB and why it is needed by 
iemisc, including providing previous e-mail discussions between Uwe and 
myself, on the various re-submittals of the USA.state.boundaries 
package.

Part of the reason why I wrote the e-mail to this list serve is that I 
have seen Uwe respond back to e-mail threads in this R-pkg-devel list, 
but I have not received any response from him nor any other CRAN 
volunteer since 6 January (almost a month as of today, 3 February 2023).

I responded back to Uwe on 6 January 2023.

In terms of Uwe and others being volunteers, I understand that 
completely. I myself volunteer on a variety of projects and I do a 
variety of projects for pay as well & I have done that for a couple of 
decades now.

I believe that a response should be made in less than a month's time.
