[R-pkg-devel] CRAN Packages over 5 MB & Time Length for Manual Inspection

My understanding is that packages over 5MB are only allowed under
exceptional circumstances. You would need to include a note in your
submission explaining why it is over 5 MB. If it is not accepted, then the
reason provided is not sufficient. I believe that the CRAN guidelines
actually state this, and there may even be Stack Exchange cases related to
this, as well.
Not sure about how long to wait for a response, but since the CRAN team is
made up of volunteers who have plenty of other things on their plates, I
always interpret a lack of response as meaning that I missed something
obvious.
