Daniel,

Ivan gave you good pointers from the R perspective.  and, in general
(i.e., even outside the R context), i would say that a "version number"
of a given package, ideally, should represent a unique set of
files/contents.  so, re-submitting, maybe you'd bump to oce_1.6-1, or
some such.
