[R-pkg-devel] should I increase the version number when resubmitting a package that failed incoming tests?

I tried submitting oce_1.6-0 and it was rejected (owing to a broken link, according to reference 1 below; see reference 2 for the email I got from the CRAN system). The email suggested I fix the package and resubmit.

My question is: should I retain the same version number, or should I bump the number? Since it did not "get into" the CRAN system, I'm thinking that I am supposed to use the same version number, but I don't want to make a mistake and get rejected again (e.g. for too many tries within a certain time interval).

Thanks, in advance, to anyone who can suggest what I ought to do.
