Interesting. So the heuristic of looking at the first few bytes was fooled.
Well, stuff happens, esp with heuristics, once N goes to 'really large'  ...

Nice. The check is there to help. It may get things wrong. A good portion of
the traffic on this list is on perceived or actual errors in these checks. So
here you found an actual one, or rather, the reason why info supplied to one
was misleading.
