[R] evaluate sum of sum

Hi
can any body please help me to programme this formula:
a[j]= E[j]-sum from l=i  to i-1 (exp{(B0 B1*row matrix*) (z[l]*column
matrix*) } x[l])  /  sum from l=i to n

it s complicate for me ; hope you can help me
